The Sea

Power unfettered, sea crashes into land,
throwing down boulders, dredging up sand.
Spray flies like shrapnel into my face;
what can keep the mighty sea in its own place?
What can keep the sea from devouring the land?
Not even the power of man's mighty hand,
can still this behemoth of water & wind.
The wise man knows sea will win in the end.
